SUMMARY

Most people only believe what they can experience, through their senses. Thus, it is easy to dismiss all fears about radiation because all radiation is invisible and undetectable even while that person is inside of a radiation plume that will guarantee a quick death. Everything looks, feels, smells and seems normal, but invisible death is being inhaled and absorbed.

No one notices, no one sees smoke, so there must not be anything wrong. Then the nuclear industry plus the government and mass media denies all danger, covers up the accident, and that is the end of the whole thing. Normalcy bias and distractions plus the business of life takes care of the rest.

Denial is so easy and the hormesis theory fits right into that normalcy bias, where it is easier and feels much better, to deny anything bad is happening.
