Our food: e.g. pistachios, fish, tea, seaweeds, grass that cattle (meat) consume - is being contaminated by the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster as 10 MILLION becquerels per hour of cesium (plus 100's of other radionuclides) continue running out of destroyed Units 1-3 into the groundwater, rivers, then Pacific Ocean, contaminating fish and other life forms. Food limits for contamination: Japan (100 bq per kg) vs USA (1200 bq per kg) starts 4:22 in video; toxicities, effects on our bodies, especially the heart starts 6:21. AMA recommends continuing monitoring of edible fish, as monitoring has been curtailed since the nuclear disaster began March 11, 2011 while the severe radioactive leaking continues unabated.

MAX FOOD RADIATION LIMITS VERY DIFFERENT IN US VS JAPAN


Food limits for contamination: Japan has a limit of (100 bq per kg) vs the USA has a very lax (1200 bq per kg). This starts 4:22 in video; toxicities, effects on our bodies, especially the heart starts 6:21.

Dr. Miller explains how if a person eats food on a regular basis that is contaminated with as little as 10 Bq/Kg, it accumulates in the body and is NOT excreted quickly as the pro nuclear advocates claim. Instead the Cesium for example, builds up over time until the levels reach 1,400 Bq/Kg in as little as 3 years. 

It only takes 10 Bq/Kg in the human body to cause health problems according to Dr. Miller, and 50 Bq/Kg will cause irreversible lesions and heart problems. 

The AMA now recommends continuing radiation monitoring of edible fish. EPA radiation monitoring has been curtailed since the nuclear disaster began March 11, 2011 in fish, meat and milk.

Monitoring for Radiation in Seafood (Res. 414):The delegates adopted an amended California resolution that asks AMA to call for the federal government to continue to monitor and fully report the radioactivity levels of edible Pacific Ocean species sold in the United States that could reasonably have been exposed to radiation from the ongoing Fukushima disaster and to include the potential health implications of consuming such foods.

ICRP PROMOTING RADIATION CONTAMINATED FOODS AND DRINKS

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of these caring health professionals, the International Committee On Radiation Protection, known as ICRP, (a pro nuclear industry promotion organization) has issued notice # 111, saying that radiation contaminated food should be sold and consumed in the marketplace, because it would cause too many problems if people were notified about it.

The high level radioactive water leaking out of Fukushima continues unabated, and has even accelerated and gotten worse.  Three years after the mega nuclear disaster, and the leaks coming out of multiple melted down and out reactors have still not been stopped, and no one even seems to care.
